WHAT IS HAPPENING AT SETON ACADEMY?

Seton Catholic Central is a place where Catholic values can be explored and lived in a strong academic environment. We invite you to consider Seton Catholic Central for your child in grades 7 through 12. There will be registration sessions on May 1, 2007 at either 4 pm or 7 pm at the school at 206 New York Rd. For more information, please contact Msgr. Aucoin at 561-4031.

SPORTSCAMP: Sportscamp 2007, to be held at Wadhams Hall, is a great place where boys and girls ages 11-15 can blend quality sports training with personal and spiritual growth. Sports are a reflection of life: winning and losing, competition and co-operation. The focus of Sportscamp is not only to help campers become better athletes, but also better people. Basketball is scheduled for July 8-12 and Soccer is scheduled for July 15-19. Both camps fill quickly. Please phone the Youth Ministry Office at (315) 393-2920 for an application

CATHOLIC HOME MISSIONS APPEAL: This weekend collection is for the Catholic Home Missions. The money collection supports the Home missions—places in the United States where the Catholic Church struggles just to keep parishes open and to educate children in the faith. Some dioceses are terribly short of priest, sisters and the money to run parishes. For example, there are only 70 priests in the whole state of Utah, 57 in Idaho, and 45 in Wyoming. This Appeal also provides funding to the global Archdiocese of Military Service, which sends 982 chaplains to offer Mass, sacraments, counselling to American Catholic soldiers and their families on 220 military bases around the world.

HOW YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD

Recognize your importance. God provides all you need to fulfil your mission. Cultivate your gifts and urge others to develop theirs. Create productive change. Rather than finding fault and criticizing, ask yourself What good can I do today? Then do it. Pray. Spend time with God. Entrust yourself, your loved ones and all your brothers and sisters to His care. Stick with it. If you get discouraged, remember that perseverance and patience are vital to success.
