VOICES OF CHILDREN: A mother was teaching her three-year-old the Lord's Prayer. For several evenings at bedtime, the child repeated it after the mother. Then one night the child was ready to solo. The mother listened with pride to the carefully enunciated words, right up to the end. "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us some e-mail."

TRINITY SUNDAY: As we celebrate Trinity Sunday this weekend we are called to remember that one of the greatest bonds of love for all humanity comes to us through the Blessed Trinity! The Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) is a mystery of faith in the strict sense. The Catechism mentions that the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and life. It is a mystery that cannot be understood by reason alone or even to the Jewish religion before the birth of God’s Son Jesus and the sending of Holy Spirit. God alone reveals himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Think of the Blessed Trinity when you make the sign of the cross.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held throughout the year every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6 am to 9 pm at St. John’s Church Adoration Chape downstairs. For more information about spending a special hour with Jesus weekly, or becoming a substitute, please call 561-5083 or email St. John’s Church, Plattsburgh at Sjohnsadoration@aol.com
