FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI: This weekend we honor the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist known as the feast of Corpus Christi. As Catholics we believe at Mass the bread becomes the Body of Christ, and the wine the Blood of Christ. The Eucharist is a mystery brought about by the Holy Spirit accomplishing what surpasses every word and thought. The Holy Eucharist which we receive at Holy Communion is the source of our Christian Life. In the Eucharist Catholics find Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

BIRTHRIGHT FATHER’S DAY CARNATION PROJECT: Carnations will be available at all Masses on Father’s Day weekend to benefit BIRTHRIGHT. This pregnancy support service offers free confidential help to anyone who is facing difficulties or crisis in her pregnancy. Birthright is staffed by volunteers and supported by donations. The carnations are available for a $1 donation.

A SUMMER PRAYER

Long warm days.

A time for picnics and rest in the shade...

Lord, help me to rest awhile

in the cooling shade of your presence.

Slow down my restless heart and fill me

with gentle compassion for all your people. Amen.
