GOD’S INCREDIBLE GENEROSITY: The messages in the Bible Readings of today are so powerful and so personal for each of us! Meditate on these lines from today’s scripture passages on the prayer Jesus taught us to pray from Luke’s Gospel: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test. Has my praying The Lord’s Prayer become too routine? What is your favorite line? Is my prayer persistent? Jesus is very generous with us. How is He generous with you and your family?

THE POWER OF PRAYER: St. Therese of Lisieux said For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy. Prayer, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, is a gift from God. It is where we meet God and where we offer ourselves to him and where we struggle to understand how profoundly he has offered himself to us. Without prayer, we have no relationship with Our Father, the one we address when we pray as Jesus taught us.
