ADVENT: Advent is the Season of Joy in which the Church celebrates God’s promise of fulfilment. The prophets of long ago prepared the hearts of the people of the Old Testament for a Messiah who would come to save His people. The hopes and dreams of that fulfilment are in the Person of Jesus Christ, the gift of God. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. (John 3:16). Plan Advent family activities such as an Advent Wreath as an occasion to pray together and spiritually prepare for the great celebration of Christmas.

NEW BEGINNINGS: “NEW BEGINNINGS” is a group of divorced and separated people that meet every Thursday at 7:00 PM at St. Peter’s Church, Plattsburgh in the Upper Room. For more information contact St. Peter’s Rectory at 563-1692.

Please note that on Saturday, December 8th the 4:00 PM Mass is not the Mass of the Holy Day but is that of the Second Sunday of Advent.
