PRAYER FOR A NEW BISHOP   Lord God, our eternal shepherd and guide, give us the joy of having a shepherd to lead our diocese. In your mercy grant us a bishop who will walk in your ways, and be an example of goodness to your people. Let us rejoice to receive a shepherd who will fill our minds and hearts with the truth of the gospel, and whose watchful care will bring us your blessing. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
